New Feature: How to Add Gadgets to The Desktop in Windows 7

Microsoft has killed the Sidebar in Windows 7, but the Gadgets it contained live on. This tutorial will show you how to add Gadgets to the Windows 7 Desktop and how to resize it.



Right click and empty area on your Desktop >> click Gadgets.




Double click or drag the Gadget to get it on the Desktop



When done close the Gadget Gallery.



To Expand the Gadget, click the arrow as shown:




To minimize the Gadget, click the arrow as shown:




To close the Gadget, click the X button as shown:
