HELP! Antivirus Soft!

Post by totaln00b on Sun 7 Feb - 17:43

Hi,
I have already tried the Malware Bytes method of removing this horrible thing and it did not find it! I don't know what to do, I've been trying all day and it won't go away. Please help, this is SO frustrating.

Download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] by OldTimer to your Desktop.

  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  • You may need to use two posts to get it all.

Hello.

  • Now, on the left hand side tool, hit the Process button at the top of the list.
  • Just above the list, there is a log button, press that and save the log to your Desktop.
  • Next, hit the Startup on the left side list.
  • Press the log button again.
  • Post the two logs in your next reply.

Hello.

  • Open IceSword again.
  • Go into the Process list again, and right click on the following filename:

    bsnasftav.exe

  • Select Terminate Process.
  • Does the process re-appear ot stay dead?

Now we shutdown the malicious process, lets try MBAM.

Please download and run this tool.

Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts.
Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process.
If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately.

Post the contents of the MBAM Log.

The process so far has not come back, thank you for stopping those annoying pop-ups. I already have Malwarebytes and have already run it multiple times and it won't find it, but we'll try again. I get an error message every time it tries to update, though. I even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it to get it to update, but I still get an error.

It seems like a LOT of people are getting this. Where does it come from? How is it spreading so quickly? I didn't download anything, mine just randomly popped up, and this is the second time I've had it. The first time it was easy to get rid of. Once I get rid of it again, HOW can I prevent it from coming back again? This thing is horrible.

Wow you have an old MBAM database there.

Please re-open Malwarebytes, click the Update tab, and click Check for Updates. Then, click the Scanner tab, select Perform Quick Scan, and press Scan.

"An error occurred. Please report the following error code to Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware support team:

Error code: 732 (12029, 0)"

It has been doing that for quite some time. It won't let me update.

I just booted my computer back up for the first time since we worked on this thing last night, and as soon as Windows loaded, AVG detected something:
Trojan Horse Downloader ZlobAQXA in
C:/Documents and Settings/Owner/Local Settings/Application Data/ateumd/bsnasftav.exe
and moved it to the virus vault. Is that it? If I get rid of that, is this thing gone?

If MBAM wont update, please uninstall it, and re-download a new installer so it can install the latest database.
