Re: computer freeze during scan for malware
Thank you DM,I have hard time to get from BC for how to use of combfix but from other web I got it. my problem is my computer freeze every few minutes and no way I can down load any use ful program. For possible regisre problems I all so run norton utility but not help.Do you know any way to release the freeze up instead by cut off the power? My computer use AMD sempron P3200 and has a lot of ram 1.250 GB.Another thing is my computer already has NIS if I down load other anti virus program will it be conflect each other?I check the working histroy of NIS and found out that freeze up alway happen when NIS conteract harmful attack.Should I disable NIS to prevent freeze up.I have last resours that use the restore disk to clean out all in HD.I already back up all my useful file. What should I do?

What I would recommend, is if it is not risky, disable NIS.
Now, you may be able to transfer the download from a clean computer to the infected one, via flash drive or burnt CD/DVD, etc.

Re: computer freeze during scan for malware
Frankly to tell you that DM,I did try use other antivirus program such as microsofe antiviur scan and sypware doctor all failure to complete the scaning due to freeze up and no way to identify what malware they are and where they hide, because this even try use manual methoid and
failure. What other suggestion? For technical point of view I don't want to give up and jump to the last resours. This malware, what ever it is,is very smart and hard to due with.

Sounds like a faulting program. Seems there would be malware trying to freeze the computer often.

Re: computer freeze during scan for malware
Hi DM,I carefully review the histroy of the work of the NIS: most the time freeze up match the time report as;unauthorized access blocked,(send terminate message to window) actor;c:\windows\explore.exe TAGET;\device\harddisk volume\program files\norton internet security\norton internet security\engine\17.5.0.127\mcu32.exe.What this mean? is this attack from inside or from out side? please explant to me.

Download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to your desktop
- A window will pop up, Press 2 and then Enter. A scan will start, let it run uninterrupted. It should only take a few minutes.
- A log will appear when it is finished, it will also be saved in the same location as LockSearch, which should be on your desktop. Post the contents of the log in your reply
