any other way?

i would like to separate the gundam from its background here. is there another way of doing this rather than using the lasso tool? I'm using photoshop by the way.

You could use the quick selection tool, under magic wand, click the arrow and select it. Select either the de-selection or selection option.

Unfortunately it's only available in CS3 or higher.
