Solved Can't seem to play videos online

Post by Sportman1987 on 5th March 2009, 5:57 pm

On sites like youtube, dailymotion etc. I just either get a blank white screen, or a red X. I remember I used to be able to play them on this computer before, but seems to have randomly stopped. I have no idea what settings may have changed. Can anyone help?

Do you have the latest version of flash player available here?

Hey - I try download, it says its complete & nothing happens. I also tried getting it from download.com. It installed, but nothing happens. I still get the message on youtube - Your flash player isnt good enough or java script isnt enabled. Ive gone into internet settings & ensured active scripts is enabled. Any ideas?

Have you tried an alternative browser such as Firefox or Opera and see if it can play the videos?

See this tutorial to ensure that you really did enable Javascript.
