Help with Removable Disk please!

Dear members and administrators of Geekpolice,
I'm new to the site so please excuse me if I posted in the wrong section.

A couple of days ago, I got a Cruzer ScanDisk 4 GB flash drive. When I insert it into the computer, the U3 launch pad opens up, but I get an error message that the disk cannot be read. "Please format your disk or remove it and re-insert into your computer."

Please help me ASAP and I appreciate your help.

Dear,

Please follow the instuction,

1. Insert the the flash drive.
2. Open My computer.
3. You can see your flash drive , right click on flash drive and select format option.
4. select quick format.
5. Click on Start button. wait for format complete.
6. Now you can use your flash drive.

Enjoy with your flash drive.

I appreciate your help. I forgot to say that I have already done that, but "the forum is unable to be completed".

Try this:

Start >> Right click >>My Computer >> Select Manage >> Go to Disk Management from Options then select the flash drive and for mat it.

Can you access data on the flash by bypassing the U3 launch pad........ie 'view files and folders on the drive'? Select documents rather than launching the U3 embedded software.

Have you also tried different USB ports on your system?

Yes, I have done all of that. I have even tried different USB Drives (I have more than one) on the same UPC. Still, no solution.
