Solved Help Me! Trojan.TDSServ!

Post by Ritsuko on Sun Jan 25, 2009 1:59 pm

I'm Using Spyware Doctor Currently
And It Detected 3 Trojan.TDSServ
C:\Documents and Settings\D-Secrets\Local Settings\Temp\ np*RANDOM*.tmp
I Tried Deleting It Manually As I Can't Delete It From Spyware Doctor
But It Will Pop Out Again And Now To Another
C:\Documents and Settings\D-Secrets\Local Settings\Temp\ np*RANDOM*.tmp
And I Delete It Away Again And Again And Again
The Virus Will Keep On Jumping To Another File On Random Time
Either When I On My Game Or Restart My Computer
Used Avenger And Malwarebytes And Detected 0
It's Confusing As Well As Annoying Me
Any Idea How To Delete And Remove It Complete For Free
Besides Reformatting My Computer Again

Thanks A Lot In Advance

A word of warning:
The avenger is VERY powerful and it not supposed to be used without supervision, I will not be held responsible for any damage you have caused.

Please see here and post a Hijack This log.

Lets run a rootkit scan.

Please run a GMER Rootkit scan:

Download GMER's application from here:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Unzip it and start the GMER.exe
Click the Rootkit tab and click the Scan button.

Once done, click the Copy button.
This will copy the results to your clipboard.
Paste the results in your next reply.

Warning ! Please, do not select the "Show all" checkbox during the scan.

If you're having problems with running GMER.exe, try it in safe mode.
This tools works in safe mode. Other rootkitrevealers don't.

No.
There is quite alot of stuff running at startup that doesn't need to be, we can try killing some startup stuff to it doesn't hog the processor.

If you want to try that, post a new Hijack This log.

Solved Re: Help Me! Trojan.TDSServ!

Post by Belahzur on Sun Jan 25, 2009 5:25 pm

Hello.

I notice that you have Spybot's TeaTimer running. While this is normally a wonderful tool to protect against hijackers, it can also interfere with HijackThis fixes. So please disable TeaTimer by doing the following:
1) Run Spybot-S&D
2) Go to the Mode menu, and make sure "Advanced Mode" is selected
3) On the left hand side, choose Tools -> Resident
4) Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts
You can reenable TeaTimer once your system is clean.

Please make sure Teatimer is disable before we do this, otherwise this fix will fail.

  • Open HijackThis
  • Choose "Do a system scan only"
  • Check the boxes in front of these lines:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IMJPMIG8.1] "C:\WINDOWS\IME\imjp8_1\IMJPMIG.EXE" /Spoil /RemAdvDef /Migration32
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PHIME2002ASync] C:\WINDOWS\system32\IME\TINTLGNT\TINTSETP.EXE /SYNC
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PHIME2002A] C:\WINDOWS\system32\IME\TINTLGNT\TINTSETP.EXE /IMEName
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IgfxTray] C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HotKeysCmds] C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Persistence] C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxpers.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Cmaudio] RunDll32 cmicnfg.cpl,CMICtrlWnd
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BluetoothAuthenticationAgent] rundll32.exe bthprops.cpl,,BluetoothAuthenticationAgent
    O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [OTMoveIt] C:\Documents and Settings\D-Secrets\Desktop\OT MoveIT\OTMoveIt3.exe
    O4 - Startup: ImationFlashDetect.lnk = C:\Program Files\Imation\ImationFlashDetect.exe
    O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE

  • Press "Fix Checked"
  • Close Hijack This.

Reboot normally, let me know if it's any faster.

Then read this article below.

Game lag maybe just the graphics card isn't powerful enough to handle it.

Formatting would get rid of it assuming anything you backup isn't infected, but as I said, the machine looks clean to me, and I don't really see a need to format.

Solved Re: Help Me! Trojan.TDSServ!

Post by Belahzur on Sun Jan 25, 2009 6:04 pm

We need to make a new restore point.

To turn off System Restore, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. Click the System Restore tab.
3. Click the Turn off System Restore check box (or the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box), and then click OK.
4. Click Yes when you receive the prompt to the turn off System Restore.

Now we need to make a new restore point.
To turn on System Restore, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. Click the System Restore tab.
3. Click the Turn off System Restore check box (To turn on System Restore), and then click OK.

Below I have included a number of recommendations for how to protect your computer in order to prevent future malware infections. Please take these recommendations seriously; these few simple steps can stave off the vast majority of spyware problems. As happy as we are to help you, for your sake we would rather not have repeat customers. Goofy

1) Please navigate to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and download all the "critical updates" for Windows. This can patch many of the security holes through which attackers can gain access to your computer.

Please either enable Automatic Updates under Start -> Control Panel -> Automatic Updates , or get into the habit of checking for Windows updates regularly. I cannot stress enough how important this is.

2) In order to protect yourself against spyware, you should consider installing and running the following free programs:

A tutorial on using Ad-Aware to remove spyware from your computer may be found [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

A tutorial on using SpywareBlaster to prevent spyware from ever installing on your computer may be found [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
A tutorial on using SpywareGuard for realtime protection against spyware and hijackers may be found [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Make sure to keep these programs up-to-date and to run them regularly, as this can prevent a great deal of spyware hassle.

3) Please consider using an alternate browser. Mozilla's Firefox browser is fantastic; it is much more secure than Internet Explorer, immune to almost all known browser hijackers, and also has the best built-in popup blocker (as an added benefit!) that I have ever seen. If you are interested, Firefox may be downloaded from here:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I also recommand the following add-ons for Firefox, they will help keep you safe from malicious scripts or activeX exploits.

4) Also make sure to run your antivirus software regularly, and to keep it up-to-date.

To help you keep your software updated, please considering using this free software program that will check for program updates.

5) Finally, consider maintaining a firewall. Some good free firewalls are [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], or
