Solved Hard Drive

Post by Sir $wat on Fri Jan 23, 2009 2:49 am

How to add another HD to my system?

I have a 40G that was on my older pc. I currently have 160G.

I also have some important files on that HD,

Firstly, you need a IDE cable to plug your hard disk in, if your motherboard has one on it, use it. You then need to find a power cable similar to the one on your other hard disk, which can also be found connected to the hard disk.

Make sure one drive is set to master, and the other is set to slave.
There's a little chip in the back and a key that points out how to use this to set which way you want it.
