Solved Getting a network into different areas

Post by grasshoper on 18th January 2009, 11:04 am

I have a wireless router with 2 computers connected directly too it and a laptop on wireless. I have a game console in another room for network gameing, however it has to have a ethernet cable plugged into it. Is there any way to get the console on network without having to run an ethernet cable through the house? I heard about a "wireless repeater" but that won't work for wired.?

Thanks for all your support by the way.

A wireless repeater extends the range of the wireless network, what you need is wireless adapter.

What gaming console are you using?

I'm not sure if it is still avaliable. I went on Google to find one for you, but can't seem to get any specific results, most that came our are for the xbox and PS3. Even a Wireless-B Game Adapter is unavailable.
