NTLDR is missing !!

Hi !!
This is my first post in geek police . well its not the first time I have visited this website a lot of time I have visited funstuff section and that awsome .
I am facing a problem with my Laptop.
When I use the recovery manager to go for factory settings I get this error message " NTLDR is missing " press ctrl+alt+delete to restart.
My recovery disk is corrupt .

My system is HP PAVILION DV6226TX
WINDOW VISTA HOME PREMIUM
any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Windows Vista does not utilize NTLDR anymore so my guess would be that its the BIOS telling you that it can't find a bootloader!

You will need your install disc in order to perform a repair install.

I GOT THE SAME PROBLEM AND HERE IS THE SOLUTION.
FIRST REMOVE UR CPU AND CLEAN WITH VACCUM CLEANER TO REMOVE THE DUST.
THEN REMOVE ALL THE CONNECTIONS TO YOUR HARD DISK AND THEN RECONNECT IT.
