Chrome Droplet

Post by Agent Cosmic on 1st January 2009, 3:39 am

I created this chrome droplet. I'm trying to recreate something like a rare captured in motion droplet of water(chrome). This was created in Lightwave. Took about an hour or less. Tell me what you think.

Looks cool. The ball should look smaller than it is.

Nice work. Do 3D artists earn a lot?

Thanks for your comments.

It depends on how skilled the 3D artist is, what program he knows, who he works for and how lucky he is. But generally he should earn around the standard salary any normal guys earn, unless he has his own studio. I'm speaking from what I heard.

Not really no ...
if you good at 3D art they take you to game development schools... and you might make the next prince of persia.

i love the art... I was always fascinated by 3D art, but never bothered to do it.
Had 3Dmax a while ago... but made nothing out of it.

really nice drop, but as mentioned above, the drop should be smaller.
i bet I can make a vector version of this ...
