Vista Expired!

Post by Sir $wat on Sun Dec 07, 2008 2:29 pm

I just got a message saying I have to activate Vista.

I am scared to shut down the pc.

I do not have the key.

Do i have the change to XP?

What can i do to activate it?

We do not supply warez or recommend it.
Only option is to buy Vista, or go back to XP.

Vista has a 30 day trial period where you can test the OS for this time period without activation.

When you get the message to 'activate now', it should also give you the number of days you have left to activate before the OS slips into 'reduced functionality' mode.

You need not worry about shuting it down as long as you have some time up your sleeve.

If you bought your system from a licensed dealer, you should have a key on a sticker underneath the laptop (or somewhere on the tower for desktops).

If you dont, contact the seller and ask for your activation key, because if the OS came pre-installed, you have paid for it!

Sometimes these genuine keys wont work with the 'online' activation option. If you have any issues with this, go for the 'phone activation' option.
