Sinowal Trojan

Post by saranonymous on 4th December 2008, 7:51 pm

Hello,

I have don't have any real trouble to speak of yet, but I am afraid for my financial information to be stolen. Windows has informed me that I have Sinowal Trojan. I have been using Macafee virus scan and Spybot (which seems to have a trojan within it..) but the message still persists. I downloaded and ran HijackThis and received the following log:

Hello.
Log looks clean.

Delete this file in bold:
C:\Documents and Settings\Phaedrus\Application Data\Google\xtgoj6119471.exe

Download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to your desktop.
Double click on the MBR.exe file to run it. A log will be produced, MBR.log.
Please open this log in Notepad and post its contents in your next reply.

Hello.
Nope, this hasn't infected the MBR.

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<< will be maximized) and info.txt (<< will be minimized)
