Solved Mouse

Post by Sir $wat on 4th December 2008, 12:50 am

For the past week i have notcied that my mouse is not working properly.

The buttons are fine but like it keeps sticking. This occurs when i try to move up or down a page. Its doesnt occur when i try to move horizontally.

I have tried cleaning the ball, but it seems that that doesnt work.

Help plz...

Just to make double sure, turn the mouse over (after disconnecting it from your computer first), turn the cap that keeps the ball in to take it off.
Take out the ball and dump out any dust.

Use a Q-tip dipped in an alcohol based cleaning agent to clean off the rollers.(Methylated spirits will do)

Also clean the ball again and mouse pad.

If none of this helps and you have checked all connections, its probably time to dump it and buy an optical mouse instead......they are fairly cheap these days!

Good Luck!

I'll tell you what!

For a loyal member such as yourself, if you give me a mailing address, i will send you one of my optical's that i have spare.

They are pretty much new and in excellent working order!

Just PM me with your mail address and i will look after it for you.

Also let me know which interface you prefer.....ie PS2 or Usb etc

Consider it a christmas present from GeekPolice.net Cheers Mate

Kind Regards mate!
