Solved .tmp folder

i,ve just formatted my pc and i surf the net everyday, just a couple of days later, my documents folder were filled up with svg15.tmp, sve6.tmp, svr2.tmp etc. but they were all empty. what causes it? my friend told me OpenOffice did it. Thanks in advance.

If you use Open Office, chances are that's what caused them.
Office uses ~.tmp files to save unsaved data in case the system crashes while your working.
