I accidentally deleted an important file from my flash drive.

How can I get it back?

Is there a program I can download to get it back?

I use free undelete.

how can i search specifically for the file using this program?

cuz i dont see it anywhere...

its a mircosoft word file

Put it in USB stick you deleted it from.
Open Undelete.
Double click whatever letter the USB stick is, probably E:\.

i found it... now it doesnt open...

i typed it in 97-2003

now i have 2007... is that the problem?

anyway to make it open?

Yeah, it kinda does that to me sometimes.
Don't know how to open corrupt files.

Try this file recovery software. It should be able to recover your file if you have not used your flash drive after deleting the file.

Select the drive where your thumbdrive is located at. and in the search bar type in the name of the deleted file.

Here, I uploaded it to Mediafire because I forgot which company made this software. It's free by the way.




If it doesn't work, tell me what is the extension of the file you are trying to recover.

If it means "life or death" you can send it to data forensics, but it will cost quite a lot.
