11,905 Corruptions, No Firewall & unauthorized Access (9) Accts.

Post by Vista on Wed Nov 25, 2015 9:51 pm

Hello,
There was a network created by me for my HP Officejet printer which I didn't know it was unsecured. Now I was told I I have 11,905 Corruptions, System is unsecured with active connections, no firewall found, unauthorized access. Now my HP Officejet printer will not scan to computer or it will not accept the drivers when setting up, Need this PC for work as soon as possible.

-**Not sure if my McAfee Total Security is still working properly

I was working with the HP Tech support and they tried installing printer 3Xs. It is a security issue of some kind. He found on the black screen
C: Windows 32cmd.exe the following message:
C\:> settings damage corruption found unauthorized access found. Then on Adminsitrative Events: 11,905 Corruptions and (9) Active connections on
C: Users\Delaware Glass tinting/netstat Please advise thank you so much!

Hello and welcome to GeekPolice.Net My name is Dave. I will be helping you out with your particular problem on your computer.

1. I will be working on your Malware issues. This may or may not solve other issues you have with your machine.
2. The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
3. If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to ask.
4. Please DO NOT run any other tools or scans while I am helping you.
5. It is important that you reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
6. Your security programs may give warnings for some of the tools I will ask you to use. Be assured, any links I give are safe.
7. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.

If you can't access the internet with your infected computer you will have to download and transfer any programs to the computer you're using now and transfer them to the infected computer with a CD-RW or a USB storage device. I prefer a CD because a storage device can get infected. If you use a storage device hold the shift key down while inserting the USB storage device for about 10 secs. You will also have to transfer the logs you receive back to the good computer using the same method until we can get the computer back on-line.

What sort of problem?

I'd like to scan your machine with ESET OnlineScan

•Hold down Control and click on the following link to open ESET OnlineScan in a new window.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

•Click the button.
•For alternate browsers only: (Microsoft Internet Explorer users can skip these steps)

  • Click on to download the ESET Smart Installer. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the icon on your desktop.

•Check
•Click the button.
•Accept any security warnings from your browser.

  • Leave the check mark next to Remove found threats.

•Check
•Push the Start button.
•ESET will then download updates for itself, install itself, and begin scanning your computer. Please be patient as this can take some time.
•When the scan completes, push
•Push , and save the file to your desktop using a unique name, such as ESETScan. Include the contents of this report in your next reply.
•Push the button.
•Push
A log file will be saved here: C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET Online Scanner\log.txt

I did scan the ESET and no found threats, but it did not save like it should. Not sure why. I also notice there is several networks that does not seem to belong on there. I am wondering since I have (9) active unsecured connections which is not supposed to be there, could this be my problem also? How do I get rid of these unsecured connections?
I have the McAfee total Security on my PC. There was something that would not allow me to turn off the firewall and virus protection until I ran a McAfee tool and it corrected it...I presume.
Please advise next step.. Thanks.

No, it will not let me delete the networks I find on the  I clicked on the Networks and un-ticked  "connect automatically" and all came back to connect automatically. Tried several ways to delete them. When I click on the network bar in lower right corner, all of the unsecured networks come up...9 of them along with my current network. All are checked to connect automatically.
When I look in the command prompt admin, type in netsh wlan show profiles, only my network and our t-Mobil account is shown.
Just checked the Event viewer and Admin events are over 11,000 red errors and the security events are 31,290.
Not sure what to do now to get rid of the open networks accessing my PC.  Is there someone who can take control of my computer to fix this mess? Any suggestions cause this is getting to deep for me? Thanks!

OK I will do the screenshot.
Just received an error code 0X8007042C It stated something about a Trojan and Firewall. If it comes up again, I will take a screen shot of that too.

The networks that do belong are: XTYU3(mine), desi-guest& Linksys1, are neighbors networks. The rest is unsecured. Also not shown is narrow-way-wireless and Hidden Network also may be unsecured. Please advise.

I suspect what you're seeing are your neighbours wireless networks. You can't do anything about them.

The only way your computer could be vulnerable is if you logged into one of those unsecured networks. Stay on your own secure network and you'll be ok.

Is there a scan to clean my registry? I scanned with WinThrust and it said I had 330 registry errors. But I had to pay to fix errors. Do you recommend a site?
In task mgr. Systemsettings.exe was suspended and I read it could be a virus attached to it. Thanks!

This is just a scam. The Registry does not need cleaning. AdwCleaner and Junkware remover will clean anything the needs removing.

Click Start> Computer> right click the C Drive and choose Properties> enter
Click Disk Cleanup from there.

Click OK on the Disk Cleanup Screen.
Click Yes on the Confirmation screen.

This runs the Disk Cleanup utility along with other selections if you have chosen any. (if you had a lot System Restore points, you will see a significant change in the free space in C drive)
*******************************************
This step will remove all cleaning tools we used, it'll reset restore points (so you won't get reinfected by accidentally using some older restore point) and it'll make some other minor adjustments...
This is a very crucial step so make sure you don't skip it.
Download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to your desktop. Delfix will delete all the used tools and logfiles.

Double-click Delfix.exe to start the tool.
Make sure the following items are checked:

  • Activate UAC (optional; some users prefer to keep it off)
  • Remove disinfection tools
  • Create Registry backup
  • Purge System Restore Points
  • Re-set system settings

Now click "Run" and wait patiently.
Once finished a logfile will be created. You don't have to attach it to your next reply.
*********************************************
I suggest using [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]. WOT is a free Internet security addon for your browser. It will keep you safe from online scams, identity theft, spyware, spam, viruses and unreliable shopping sites. WOT warns you before you interact with a risky website. It's easy and it's free.

Check out [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for tips and free tools to help keep you safe in the future.
