"The Parameter is incorrect"

Post by blueeyesfl1 on 14th October 2013, 9:17 pm

I am trying to reformat my dell 1545 to factory settings with the disc and keep getting this message " The parameter is incorrect".

Any thoughts?

This error often indicates a failing hard drive. Please share a bit more detail in what all you have done. Are there any other numbers or codes with the error? What are you doing when it appears, and what is the OS?

Countryside is right, either the hard drive is moribund or a SATA or IDE cable is loose.
