I accidently removed my soundmax,

I was cleanig off unused files and aaccidently removed soundmax,,now no sound at all,,how can I restore? I did try a system restore,,no go,,and have also tried a number of downloads but nothing is working,,,any help??

Do you have factory/OEM disc(s) like driver disc?

No I do not have anything like that at all,,all I really know is that it is a compq nc6120

Also soundmax still shows up on my add/remove list,,but does nothing when I click on change/remove?????

Sorry for Jumping in the Middle DMJ, thought of adding a piece to the users puzzle.
Please check the Device Manager (Click on Start --> Type Device Manager in the Search Box --> then Hit Enter) in your Computer and see if you can find any Entry with an Exclamation Mark next to it.
