Please help, both IE and firefox opens pages randomly and wont let me type

Post by bell123321 on 13th May 2012, 2:16 pm

Please help Sad tearing

On my other laptop it has just randomly started opening lots of internet explorer pages and firefox pages. In addtion when I try and type either in the address bar or a search bar on google it lets me type a few letters before deleting what I have typed.

I have only had the laptop two months and have only used it a couple of times. (mostly for facebook) I have tried running a ful virus scan but I still have the issue. I have tried system recovery to two weeks ago when it was fine but still no joy. I have tried a trojan search but no luck. Any suggestions? Even in safe mode it opens multi firefox and IE pages.

Thanks for anyone who has any suggestions

I think I have sorted it out now Smile I downloaded superantispyware download and ran a scan on that and it found 80 files a lot within rooming. It deleted these and it now appears to be working. A little annoyed that my paid anti software did not find it but very relieved that it appears to be working. Thought I would reply in the hope it might help somebody else, and to let everyone know it is all good now Smile

Thanks anyway Smile

The paid anti software probably was not designed to filter out the things that SuperAntiSpyware found. It's possible that all the malware was not removed by SAS. Do you want to run a few additional scans?
