Lost all computer programs, photos, and files HELP PLEASE!

My computer got some kind of virus and I have lost all my photos files and all programs on my computer. I HAve an ACER. Can someone help me restore these????? I don't have the cd. PLEASE HELP! I don't know much about computers. THank you!!!

If the files are still there, they may be hidden. I suggest you check in with the Malware Removal forum for help.

Follow these steps to display hidden files and folders.
1.Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
2.Click the View tab.
3.Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files and folders, and then click OK.
