Computer all messed up

Post by dookie22 on Thu 29 Sep 2011, 11:45 am

My computer just quit working the other day. I got the blue screen saying it was infected. I shut it off for a day and today it worked for awhile but now when i restart it all it does is go to a screen saying Loading PBR for descriptor 2...done. Thats all it does wont go to any other screen. It wont let me go into safe mode.

I assume you have a Dell ?.....It's simply loading the Image Restore Partitions. If you press CTRL+F11 when you see [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (you have a 2 second window) it will load the Restore screen. However, if don't want to lose your data and revert back to factory defaults, don't continue with it (Don't worry, it won't just RUN automatically if you hit CTRL+F11, it will pop up a Window) It's an informational message only. Also check that there is no USB drive plugged onto the USB port while restarting the PC

I can safely say that this is not a malware problem. All I can surgest is that you do a reinstall Windows.
