This infection is being persistent.

Re-running ComboFix to remove infections:

  1. Close any open browsers.
  2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

    File::
    c:\windows\system32\azroles32.exe

    Rootkit::
    c:\windows\system32\azroles32.exe

    Registry::
    [HKLM\~\services\sharedaccess\parameters\firewallpolicy\standardprofile\AuthorizedApplications\List]
    "c:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\azroles32.exe"=-

  4. Save this as CFScript.txt, in the same location as ComboFix.exe

  5. Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exe
  6. When finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt
  7. Please post the contents of the log in your next reply.

I'm livin' life in the fast lane.

Hi,

Please download aswMBR from here

  • Save aswMBR.exe to your Desktop
  • Double click aswMBR.exe to run it
  • Click the Scan button to start the scan as illustrated below

Note: Do not take action against any **Rootkit** entries until I have reviewed the log. Often there are false positives

  • Once the scan finishes click Save log to save the log to your Desktop

  • Copy and paste the contents of aswMBR.txt back here for review

Hi,

Could you please boot into Safe Mode and run this?:

Re-running ComboFix to remove infections:

  1. Close any open browsers.
  2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:

    File::
    c:\windows\system32\MP4SDMOD32.exe
    c:\windows\system32\azroles32.dll
    c:\windows\system32\kbdnec32.exe

    DDS::
    uInternet Settings,ProxyServer = http=127.0.0.1:62889

    Firefox::
    FF - ProfilePath - c:\documents and settings\XP PRO SP3 User\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\fmorhb5n.default\
    FF - prefs.js: network.proxy.http - 127.0.0.1
    FF - prefs.js: network.proxy.http_port - 62889
    FF - prefs.js: network.proxy.type - 1

    Registry::
    [HKLM\~\services\sharedaccess\parameters\firewallpolicy\standardprofile\AuthorizedApplications\List]
    "c:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\MP4SDMOD32.exe"=-
    [HKLM\~\services\sharedaccess\parameters\firewallpolicy\standardprofile\GloballyOpenPorts\List]
    "67:UDP"=-
