Windows 7 and new HD

Post by marcusmax on 22nd February 2011, 9:19 pm

My laptop HD crashed so I bought a new HD. I was runnin Windows XP Pro when it happened, but purchased Windows 7 since then. Now I purchased a new HD and loaded clean Windows 7. How do I get all my components working? I downloaded drivers from HP but they are all for windows xp.
What I have now is Windows 7 comes up fine, I can browse my HD.... where do I find the drivers I need and where and how do I upload them?

Thanks

Hi there,

You have to find the drivers for Windows 7 or atleast Windows Vista. Post us the HP model number we will be more than happy to find the drivers for you. Check this article http://captaindbg.com/how-to-update-drivers-on-windows-7/

Hi there,

Sadly I couldn't find any drivers for Windows 7. Maybe try some software like Driver Doctor (Freeware) I have never used it but worth a try and see if that finds the appropriate drivers for you. As if now does your display, sound etc. working fine ?
