why are avg files and firefox,saying error

computer shutting self off after flashing a message too fast to read.runs check and says avg and firefox files are error not valid will be truncated.what does this mean and what to do about it.am brand new to computer.so i wont understand too much tech talk.thank you.

We be glad to assist you. Could you provide us with a little more information. Post us the exact error message. Do you get a Blue screen error before shutting down ?
