Recently, iTunes randomly decided not to open any more. I didn't update, reinstall, or anything like that. I currently do not have an antivirus program on my computer so that's not it either. I have tried running as administrator, reinstalling it, installing an older version, creating a new guest account, deleting these two files Apple said to, and the simple restart of the computer. However, none of these worked. I have an HP Touchsmart tx2 running Windows Ultimate 32 bit. I looked at the task manager, and the iTunes process does open for few seconds when I open up iTunes. I have tried opening it from the system folder, the taskbar, the desktop, the start menu, and nothing works. When I open it from the taskbar, I do get that little square thing around it but then it disappears after a couple seconds. Can someone please help me because I have no idea what to do. Thank you.
Have you tried booting the computer to Safe Mode and then running iTunes?
I just tried it, and still no luck
Does anyone have any suggestions?
If you've reinstalled iTunes it should work.
* Maybe you have some malware preventing iTunes from opening.I currently do not have an antivirus program on my computer
Well how can I tell if I don't have an antivirus program?
I have windows 7
