Hey all. I have a 2007 (I think) Lenovo IBM Thinkpad T60. It is getting old, I know, but I still like it.
Recently, the volume control buttons on the keyboard have stopped working (volume up/down/mute). They used to bring up small green bars at the bottom of my screen, but now nothing happens - they do not change the volume level and do not bring up the bars. It's like the computer is not reading/responding to those buttons' functions. This problem has happened a couple times in the past, and usually I thought I fixed it by reinstalling BIOS or the SoundMAX driver, but this time they did not work.
Any ideas on how to get my volume control back?
Thanks so much in advance!

Hi.
You want to get some compressed air and attempt to blow underneath the keys. It's possible dirt or something may have built up causing it to not work.

Thanks Buttons for your quick response! I tried cleaning under the buttons today, but unfortunately, that did not work.
Do you (or anyone else) have any other ideas?

You're welcome.
I'm more of a software person so maybe someone else can help.
