Facebook won't load

Post by xqme4asking on Sun 02 Jan 2011, 3:10 am

First topic message reminder :

When ever attempting to go to Facebook, I receive an message stating Internet Explorer cannot display this page. I am able to go to anyother site with the exception of Facebook. I have updated and ran Malware; nothing comes back, I have tried in Safemode w/ network and still unable to reach this page.

Also when opening a new tab I get a site called Startsearcher. I have tried to remove this as well no luck as of yet; could this be part of the issue as well, althought the Facebook this just happned last night.

Thanks

Hi,

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware from Here.

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Comp runs fine, still have that Startseracher when ever I open a new tab....No worries though we can kill this thread unless it is killing you on how to get it removed. I have googled Startersearcher dot com and found many things that say download this to remove it but I think it is a prgrogram running some how & blocks when ever a scan runs or something.

I thank you and I will with out a doubt donate as usual you guys are great
