Hello.

TFC(Temp File Cleaner):

  • Please download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to your desktop,
  • Save any unsaved work. TFC will close all open application windows.
  • Double-click TFC.exe to run the program.
  • If prompted, click "Yes" to reboot.
Note: Save your work. TFC will automatically close any open programs, let it run uninterrupted. It shouldn't take longer take a couple of minutes, and may only take a few seconds. Only if needed will you be prompted to reboot.

MBAM shouldn't detect that threat anymore, but run a new scan, and post the new log when done.

I'm having a problem though. My computer keeps going through the reboot sequence without getting to my Windows Desktop. The only way, is for me to hit F8 and go into "Safe Mode with Networking". Now what do I do?

Yikes

Hello.
Is their a lot of data on this machine? a quick way would be to format, but if you don't have anything much worth losing, then a format maybe an option.

Here's what I did, when I rebooted, I used F8 and selected an option for the computer not to reboot if it encountered an error. I was able to get in just fine and everything seems to work fine, except for Internet explorer. It's having problems just like before. Otherwise, everything else seems to work okay.

Click Start > Run and copy/paste the following bolded text into the Run box and click OK:

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff

Does that open explorer correctly? if so, try using it, see if you encounter any problems now.

There is no difference. (Except the problem does not exist while my computer is running in "Safe Mode"...

1). Copy and try to paste.
2). Computer locks up for a minute and does not allow me to paste
3). The computer then says that Dr Watson is trying to debug the webpage (or if I'm not using Internet explorer, Dr Watson is trying to debug the application.

***Note: Sometimes after Internet explorer comes up, it says that my security settings are not correct and offers to correct them if I allow it.

It's only IE that has this issue yes? IE should be dumped as a usable browser really and move onto Chromium based browsers, like Chrome or Iron.

Well, I think its more than that. I was experimenting and found that even with IE closed, it seems that I have major problems being able to "copy and paste". It's very strange.
