No boot device found !

hey guys !

in my friend's pc , when he power on his machine..it says that boot device not found...so i took his HDD and plugged in my pc and also the same message is displayed and as a result he was not able to boot into windows ...he is having university exams by this week...so plz give me a solution ASAP .

Hi,
Tell your friend to buy new HDD. This one is dead.. Borrow him your HDD for exam ;)

Actually all the very important files necessary for the exams are in that HDD .... without those files he cant do anything .... there is no other way to get back the files ??

Oh, okay. You should try UltimateBoot CD from this link :

That disc have few tools to help you fix your HDD, maybe you can save some files from it, it it's really dead. On that disc, you have a tool named HDClone, which Clone whole HD to another one, just plug your or some external, i think that would work. You can read more about UltimateBoot CD list of programs on above link.

It's easy to use, download ISO, burn it, and boot from CD, follow steps on your screen and choose tool which you need.
