Reinstalling Windows

Post by alritelad on Wed 10 Nov 2010, 1:02 am

I am considering reinstalling windows on my laptop. it is a lenovo thinkpad t61 running vista. if i do a clean install of windows 7 i assume that means none of the lenovo think vantage software will still be operational on my laptop. i got no discs at all when i bought the laptop.

if i use the recovery partition or make recovery discs, will this allow me to keep the lenovo software and partition my hard drive into system and data? at the moment it is all one.

thanks

Hi, you can also just upgrade your Windows Vista to Windows 7, and you'll save all files from your computer without making any change. You just got new operating system. Anyway, Lenovo's Thinkvantage should be free for you, check this link later
