First topic message reminder :

Hi,

I am a tad confused, I am not sure whether these are still on my computer or whether they were really there to start with , I dont know enough to get me out of trouble, Can you please steer me in the right direction.

I operate on XP, I use IE8 and now have Firefox as well.

My problem started 5 days ago, where all my browser pages did not exist, the only page I could get to was my Netbank page (which I did not use) I had Norton 360 installed but what ever happened , Norton did not tell me there was an issue, until the next day I saw Norton was not on nor could I open it.
I have spoken to Norton & my provider, they cannot seem to help me. The Symantec support window that Norton tried to help me with wont go away. I was working in Safemode Networking I managed to download Firefox and AVG to try and do a scan, which I managed to do. I constantly get System Volume Information alerts which I know has to do with restore points, but I have tried to turn this off but the facility to do so is not there. AVG today has told me my free 30 day trial has expired, I only put it on 4 days ago. Everytime I start my computer it tells me I am missing some local files
I have ran Malwarebytes which said I had 13 issues, I also ran Superantispyware which told me I had 149 issues. But if I run the Microsoft Malacious software tool it tells me I have nothing
I can not do a recovery as I get a blue screen to tell me I have a virus.

I can open browser pages now, but if an email comes in I get a error message from microsoft to advise the of the error if I hit send everything shuts down and will pop open again saying the pages does not exist.
I hope that makes sense

I hope you can help,
Raelene

Hello.
Try install Adobe Reader 9.4 anyway, see if it lets you install it.
