Thinkpoint scam

Post by SusieE on Sun Oct 17, 2010 4:00 pm

I also had the same trouble as other people here with that phantom Thinkpoint that showed up and wouldn't let me do anything on my computer. It is a scam folks. I called their 1-800 number and got nothing but music - I emailed them and it got bounced back to me. Thank you GeekPolice. They gave me the link to download onto my computer and it cleared away Thinkpoint and all those 'viruses' that Thinkpoint said I had. Good job guys!! Thank you so much. Thank You! Thank You!

Hello.

Download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] by OldTimer to your Desktop.

  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  • You may need to use two posts to get it all.
