Flash drive issue

Post by nature7827 on Fri 15 Oct 2010, 1:33 pm

A friend of mine is having trouble with his flash drive. He had accessed files on it early this morning and saved files on it so it was working fine but then this evening he tried to access his files on it and it could not open files and said files may be corrupt. This is all his work for school and he needs to access these files. Is there anyway to access these files?

Hello.

Download OTL by OldTimer to your Desktop.

  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  • You may need to use two posts to get it all.

Well that is not really possible. He lives out of town and I cannot get to his computer and he is not skilled enough with computers to follow these directions. I did a google search and found a data recovery software called EASEUS data recovery. Hopefully I can walk him through this...
