I have a laptop HP Pavillion running Windows XP Prof version 2002 SP2, AMD Athlon(tm) XP Processor 2800+, 1.60GHz, 1.25 GB RAM

How do I find out what's causing the shut down?

Thank you, Marcel

Hi, you really have to reinstall your Windows. That's only way, get your disc or find new one.

It could be HDD or OS. We should perform Windows re-installation first, after that, if all works, problem is solved.
If you have more problems, it could be HDD.
