itunes virus

I m back after long time to ask for help which is not a good thing but this time it is very unusual strange and unbeliveable..........i got virus thru itunes update. Today after starting pc i left it n when got back had bunch of error msgs so without doing anything i closed them n when went onto itunes it was changed n all my playlist was gone n replaced with default playlist looked at my desktop n all the icons for antiviruses were gone n my wallpaper was changed to xp default so did scan with malwarebaytes in safemode got 2 viruses wanted to post it here but could not so than did system restore came back tried to restart itunes n it gave me install msg so started malwarebytes again gave me 3 viruses did copy but before i post it here i restarted pc my mistake n same time uninstalled all itunes n apple stuff........this is the story

should i still go ahead n do more scans n cleanup by following direction from u experts...........please advise
