Vista System restore!

hey guys/gals...so my set up is... intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @2.83GHz - EVGA 132-CK-NF78 - computer manufacturer is NVIDIA and am running windows vista home premium - if im missing any needing info please let me know!

im trying to do a system restore to factory settings without out any sorta backup cd or the vista cd
i have backed up my computer to an external already

please explain in a way a retard with a computer could understand Big Grin

just want my puppy to run like new again

any suggestions appreciated

-iv tried system restore from a certain point or w/e it is but it only goes back acouple of months so i didnt bother

Hi, if you'r already backup all files, why didn't you install fresh copy of Windows ? Smile

I have to agree with Nazzgull. A recovery is potentially more work and much more risky in terms of maintaining long term system stability*.

Besides, if you are "going down", I would recommend upgrading to Windows 7 - Vista is notoriously slow.

*Disclaimer: I have not done one on a Vista machine.
