nv4_disp and the BSOD Help

Post by ranger_ric on Wed 25 Aug - 3:27

I am running a Dell M2300 w/ XP

I am experiencing my computer, mouse,& keyboard lockup, then after a few moments I get the BSOD. I am no expert but It says something about a problem with nv4_disp.

My computer also will not boot up in safe mode. It runs through a couple of pages full of strings of what looks like files and then just stops with a page full of those file lists. never does boot up.

I know this is probably two seperate things but I really want the nv4_disp BSOD to quit.

Any Help?

Here is what the BSOD says when it crashes.

The Device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the hardware incorrectly.
*** STOP: 0X000000 (0X88FD8238, 0X894C4470, 0XBA4EBCBC, 0X00000001)

nv4_disp
Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete
Contact your system admin.........yada yada yada

Does this help???
