Security Suite attack

Post by Effsy on Thu 19 Aug 2010, 4:15 am

First topic message reminder :

Hi GeekPolice,

I am experiencing pop-ups from Security Suite. I cannot open any programs or use internet explorer. I am currently using Firefox. I have tried downloading both Malwarebytes and OTL, but after downloading neither will open.

Any help is much appreciated,

Effsy

Symptoms like lagging or not responding are included in hard drive failure.

Dear D.M. Jay,

Sorry, but what does it mean? Is it still accessible or not? Can I still do something to retrive my files? This is regarding the external hard drive.

Thanks - Effsy

Hello D.M. Jay,

How can I access my file when the computer does not recognize it when I plug it it using the usb.

I read articles in the internet. It appears that when one drops the external hard drive, there is a risk that the computer cannot recognize it anymore because the "spindle" is damaged. Is this true?

Everytime I plug in my external hard drive, the computer does not recognize it like it used to. How can I use it again?

Thanks - Effsy
