Symptoms like lagging or not responding are included in hard drive failure.

Dear D.M. Jay,

Sorry, but what does it mean? Is it still accessible or not? Can I still do something to retrive my files? This is regarding the external hard drive.

Thanks - Effsy

Hello D.M. Jay,

How can I access my file when the computer does not recognize it when I plug it it using the usb.

I read articles in the internet. It appears that when one drops the external hard drive, there is a risk that the computer cannot recognize it anymore because the "spindle" is damaged. Is this true?

Everytime I plug in my external hard drive, the computer does not recognize it like it used to. How can I use it again?

Thanks - Effsy
