Trojan

Post by tdowns1025 on 14th August 2010, 4:41 pm

I'm hoping you can help me. I know enough about computers to get me into trouble maybe and that is about all. I have a computer that I have been told has a trojan on it because when I log on it brings up this ad for a virus protector but won't let me do anything else but it sends me to the website to buy the suite. I have Macfee on the computer but it's not doing much. I don't know how or what to do I have placed the computer in "safe mode" to run a scan but I don't know how if it will fix it. I have windows vista on the computer and I'm lost. Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction? Thank you.
Teresa

Download [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] by OldTimer to your Desktop.

  • Close all windows and double click OTL.exe
  • Click Run Scan and let the program run uninterrupted
  • It will produce two logs for you, one will pop up - OTL.txt, the other will be saved on your Desktop - Extras.txt. Post both logs in this thread.
  • You may need to use two posts to get it all.
