Virus: Internet is Connected but Cannot Surf on Firefox/IE.

Post by henrisha on Wed 28 Jul 2010, 10:29 pm

Hi there,
The internet is connected but for the past 2 days, I cannot surf or browse the net using either Firefox or IE. I tried disabling the "Allow PC to turn this off" for the Ethernet adapter, and after a restart, I could browse again. After 10 minutes however, the problem was back. I rebooted again and googled about the virus.

I followed instructions on trying to remove the virus called "USBDoom" since I also discovered that a lot of my files/folders were hidden and I could not unhide them. So I followed Method 2 from [url=][You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and the files can now be hidden/unhidden.

However, I'm not sure if my PC is already clean or if I should still be doing some cleaning.
Posted below and attached to this post is my HijackThis log. Thank you very, very much.
