Can't hear internet

Post by SuziQ on Wed Jul 28, 2010 12:08 am

I have a set of Dell speakers that work fine for the CD player, but when it comes to the internet I can't hear anything. My online videos suk too. They play in spurts. Keep in mind this is the first computer I built all by myself. I've been playing at it for 10 years by trial and error. :smile2:

Did I post this in the wrong place? This has really been bugging me. Especially the not being able to hear it.

I'm sorry no one has been able to help you yet. I have built my own computer but I think that there is some sort of problem with your internet settings. You might want to recheck your settings. If nothing seems to be wrong, then write down what changes you have made then reset the settings. Check to see if it is working:

>> Working: Change setting one at a time until it doesn't work

>> Not Working: Change all setting back to the way that they were

Is it happening with only one Browser?
Did you tried with a different Browser?
Do you have the Flash and Java Installed? (Latest Version Recommended)

Thank you for responding. The problem has mysteriously resolved itself. I have a new problem now. My desktop background doesn't show properly. It only shows about 3" on the left where the desktop icons are. The rest of the screen is white.

Do you have Themes or any Customization packs installed or uninstalled recently?

Try to Update your Display Driver Software and check.

If the above fails, create a new User Account and check.
