error message about driver

I updated this driver , my computer it working fine however this dialog box pops up stating to update this DVD driver and restart Why is this happening? thanks for whom ever knows the answer.

Hi,
You have problem with DVD Rom driver ? Do you have DVD/CD Rom inside My Computer ?

yes I use it all the time .

Hi,

  • Go to Start > Run > type SERVICES.MSC and press Enter.
  • Turn off the "Shell Hardware Detection" service.

Note: This will also disable autoplay on your CD/DVD drives.

running a shell request

is this shell hardware detection for windows xp only ,I have Vista ?
