what is kb & KB

sir, what is the differrence between kb/s & KB/s my tata photon whiz(data card) shows 153 kbps(internet speed) please answer me soon.

Hi,
This is really nice question, i'm sure 20 % of peoples which have computer don't know difference.

kilobits per second or kbps or kb/s or kbit/s is a unit of data transfer rate.

- 1 KB/s (one kilobytes per second) is equal to 8 kb/s.

You maybe know, or not, that 1 Kilo is 8 bits.

Easy, you can find all your answers for bits and bytes on Wikipedia at THIS LINK.

^ Probably just a typo but...

Just to clear it up 1 byte is actually 8 bits
and a kilo byte is 1024 bits (or 1000 bits to keep it simple)
