Windows 7 Resolution Problem

Post by Programmer on Fri Jun 11, 2010 1:40 am

Hey guys, just recently installed Windows 7 over my Windows XP and I am having a bit of a problem with resolution. I have had Windows 7 before and resolution was fine, but now I can not find a resolurtion that fits my screen. I have seriously gone through every resolution and none of them fit the screen. Does anyone have any suggestions of drivers I may need or anything to fix this problem.

My older Windows 7 was 32bit and this one is 64bit, does that make a difference?

Does your monitor have manual adjustment settings?

On the front or side of your monitor, there should be some buttons. Try to find one that says "Autofit", or something to that nature.

Yeah, I click the button on the side, and auto fit and it does not work. Then I clicked Display Information and it says "DSUB 1920x1080" and I put that resolution on and it still doesn't work, part of the screen is off the monitor.

In the row of buttons, is there an option to manually move the screen?

Yes, but it does not move over far enough for it to fit.

Have you installed video drivers from your manufacturer's website?
