Then when I try and use Firefox I get this,

You are trying to launch ESET Online Scanner in a different browser than Internet Explorer. Please agree to the download of ESET Smart Installer - an application which installs and launches ESET Online Scanner in a separate window. At the end of the scan, there will be an option to uninstall ESET Online Scanner and all its components.

To download ESET Smart Installer click the link below.

* esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe

After successful installation of ESET Smart Installer is ESET Online Scanner launched in a new window.
what should I do?

Hello.

Remove the Proxy setting in Internet Explorer and/or in FireFox.

    In Internet Explorer
  1. Tools Menu -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab ->Lan Settings > uncheck "use a proxy server" or reconfigure the Proxy server again in case you have set it previously.

    In Firefox
  1. Tools Menu -> Options... -> Advanced Tab -> Network Tab -> "Settings" under Connection > Choose "No Proxy"
  2. Click the apply button and restart that computer in normal mode.

Try now.

proxy inst checked in either browser. Now I have another problem. It seems to be getting worse. My dvd drive doesn't read ant cd or play any cd. I have HP dvd writer 1140 light scribe. I went on light scribe and tried what they said but it didn't fix it. I also went on firefox and downloaded that eset scanner and it did a scan but didn't leave a log. Sad tearing

awlful somehow my system retsore got turned off so I couldn't go back. My logitech headset won't work, my dvd roms don't read any disks also I can't do a defrag on my system . also I can't play cod4 or modernwarfare2 it lets me in a game then it crashes and reboots my system...;( I don't know what I can do. I feel all I can do is reformat but my drive can't even read the disk when I put it in it seems to want to but I can hear it zooming up but it doesn't do any thing. What's weird is I can burn a disk.
