win32/nugel.E and Bankerfox.A

Post by EdwardDigital on Wed 19 May 2010, 4:33 pm

First topic message reminder :

Hello Geek Police. I've had this win32/nugel.E and Bankerfox.A issue before (which was fixed by my campus IT) and asked for help here, but since the problem was fixed I told you here that I didn't need anymore assistance. However I'm having the same issue again, just on a different computer.

I have another desktop that I've used for gaming and word processing that has no internet access. Just recently I bought a wireless router and have accessed the net on this computer. Unfortunately just 3 days after using the router I have been infected. I would like a walkthrough on how to rid my computer of this issue.

I have run Malware Bytes (I'm surprised it let me) but I didn't finish the scan because I don't know how helpful it would be. Also, what kind of software should I have for this computer so that when I get online again via the router my computer is protected? I don't have any protection currently since the computer (up until just recently) was used for gaming and word processing only. Thank you.

It's running smoothly. There doesn't seem to be any problem. How can I be sure though that there isn't anything in my computer laying dormant or anything?

Running the ESET scan would be a good idea.
