Solved Computer uploads something all the time

Post by Delano on Sun 09 May 2010, 11:31 pm

EDIT: Duh he was seeding something from utorrent. I realised that as soon as i took a closer look at the screenshot

My dad lives abroad and he uses an internet stick to go online. The problem is that as soon as he plugs it in the stick starts uploading something at the rate of approximately 0,5 mb/s. This uses up the download limitations of the stick way too fast and he needs to buy another one faster than usual. The problem is that i canīt get my hands on the computer and i donīt know which program uses up my connection. Might be google earth or something. Already told him to delete avast antivirus. Didnīt help. He has also tried multiple sticks.

Hereīs a screenshot.

Can anyone tell me what program uses up that connection.

There is always data incomming and outgoing such as i.e. Windows Update, antivirus software, adobe software. They are checking versions and if updates are needed. You would have to turn everything off manually a tuneup of sorts!
