Serious problem(i guess)

Post by Failz0r on Sun May 02, 2010 1:04 am

Hello people,i am new here.I want to apologise in case of doing something wrong about posting.
Well,today i noticed that my pc is infected by 2 viruses(at least i think it's 2,maybe more cuz i don't have a good past with viruses).I tried to delete them but i couldn't.Their names,Uvd.exe and trz167.tmp
Every single time that i tried to delete them, they were duplicated.
I use Avast antivirus and my system is Windows XP Professional[Service Pack 3].
Thanks in advance.

Please visit this webpage for a tutorial on downloading and running ComboFix:

See the area: Using ComboFix, and when done, post the log back here.

Umm ok.

Most of the time, when you have originally detected the malware issue, it means the computer is infected by malware of some sort. Antivirus scanners may not show a sign of the malware still being there, which could be a sign of a rootkit.

Whenever rootkit scanners, and antivirus software scan for the rootkit, it gets as close to the system kernel as possible. If the rootkit is beyond that point, it will not be detected.

So, the idea is, is when you post to a forum that you need help removing malware, it is best to stay with the helper, to ensure your computer is clean. However, since you do not want anymore help, this topic is now closed.
