Please tell me how your computer is running.
Is there any other issues that are plaguing it?

Hi DragonMaster Jay:
It is running odd. It is as if everything it does is a beat slow. It is not as it was before this all started. As an example when asking the comptuer to do something like search and go to a website the computer does as I ask, but it is like it is one beat off. Again, it is as if I ask and rather than just doing what I ask the computer does it slower than before.
Something else I noticed was that my disk seems to be getting full. This weekend I moved many, many pictures to an external hard drive.
How do things look from your end? Is there something else that needs to be checked? It just feels like there is something holding me hostage like before when the Backdoor Bot was attacking me. Are we certain that every virus is now gone?
Thanks,
Karen

Well yeah, as you saw above, we finally got rid of the backdoor.
In the Dr Web CureIt log, it shows it cured a backdoor trojan.
Let's try one more tool:
Save these instructions so you can have access to them while in Safe Mode.
Please click here to download AVP Tool by Kaspersky.

Please click here to download AVP Tool by Kaspersky.
- Save it to your desktop.
- Reboot your computer into SafeMode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight SafeMode then hit enter.
- Double click the setup file to run it.
- Click Next to continue.
- Accept the License agreement and click on next.
- It will, by default, install it to your desktop folder. Click Next.
- It will then open a box There will be a tab that says Automatic scan.
- Under Automatic scan make sure these are checked.
- Hidden Startup Objects
- System Memory
- Disk Boot Sectors.
- My Computer.
- Also any other drives (Removable that you may have)
- Then click on Scan at the to right hand Corner.
- It will automatically Neutralize any objects found.
- If some objects are left un-neutralized then click the button that says Neutralize all
- If it says it cannot be neutralized then choose the delete option when prompted.
- After that is done click on the reports button at the bottom and save it to file name it Kas.
- Save it somewhere convenient like your desktop and just post only the detected Virus\malware in the report it will be at the very top under Detected post those results in your next reply.
Note: This tool will self uninstall when you close it so please save the log before closing it.

Hi DragonMaster Jay:
I am sorry, but I do not read any of the logs that I prepare for you. They are like jibberish to me. I trust you to interpret them and tell me what to do. I am glad that the Backdoor Trojan is gone. I am going to download the AVP tool as you requested and will post the information for you shortly.
Thanks again for all that you are doing for me. I appreciate and value your assistance,
Karen

Hi DragonMaster Jay:
Sorry this took so long. Had a bit of trouble getting it going. Then had to stop and start over a couple of times. It actually took a long time to do the scan. I went to bed at 4:00 a.m. and it was still not done!
I don't think it found anything. There does not really seem to be a report to post. I am going to post what I can.

It is clean. We used two very powerful tools, I am sure it is gone.
Now to get you off to a good start we will clean your restore points so that all the bad stuff is gone for good. Then if you need to restore at some stage you will be clean. There are several ways to reset your restore points, but this is my method:
You now have a clean restore point, to get rid of the bad ones:
To remove all of the tools we used and the files and folders they created, please do the following:
Please download OTC.exe by OldTimer:
Note: If any tool, file or folder (belonging to the program we have used) hasn't been deleted, please delete it manually.

Please download TFC by OldTimer to your desktop
==
Download Security Check by screen317 from SpywareInfoforum.org or Changelog.fr.

Hi DragonMaster Jay:
Here is the contents of the Security Check. I was able to delete all the programs and items we used.
Is the TFC something that I should keep on my desk top to use from time to time?
Thanks,
Karen
